The past year has been so much fun! We started in my own backyard with workshops last summer. When school started in the fall, we utilized a classroom within Parents' Cooperative Preschool offering open studio for preschool age kids 3 days a week. Looking forward to Summer 2011, we will soon be in a new space and able to offer kids of all ages the chance to explore art. Stay tuned for all the details!

Welcome to my Summertime Studio!
I am very excited to start my backyard art workshops for kids this summer. This idea has been brewing for a long time, and now I'll truly be combining my love for art with my passion for working with kids. This space is for sharing our fun, creativity, and imagination. Workshops coming soon are listed in the sidebar. Click for more info.
Rock painting is a favorite outdoor art project of ours. Go on a rock hunt in search of interesting shapes and sizes. No matter if they are smooth, bumby, large or small. Find a shady spot, and paint away. Use any kind of paint and brushes you have on hand. Be aware if you're using washable paints, and your rocks are left outside, the paint will most likely wash away eventually by the weather. Display the collection in a bowl or basket or put them right back into the garden as little hidden gems.
